Nature of the Service

This is a private reference service with no authority to act for a public agency. It does not store official jail, court, parole, or corrections records. It cannot confirm that someone is in custody or released, change a government record, release a person, accept a filing, give legal advice, or direct an agency's work.

Its role is to point toward relevant sources, including the Hancock County jailer and court, the Breckinridge contract facility, Kentucky corrections and supervision systems, and third-party research tools. A linked agency or provider remains responsible for its own records and services.

Acceptable Use Rules

Visitors must use the service responsibly. In particular, a visitor may not:

• Use the site while breaking any local, Kentucky, federal, or other applicable law
• Use information to stalk, harass, intimidate, or threaten another person
• Rely on site content for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
• Try to enter accounts, servers, or systems without authorization
• Operate bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools against the site
• Interfere with performance or prevent another visitor from using the service

No Consumer Reports or Screening

Hancock County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not supply credit reports, background checks, or consumer reports. Its advertising and search partners do not provide screening services through this site. By using the service, each visitor agrees not to apply its information to:

• Decisions to hire, discipline, retain, or dismiss a worker
• Tenant selection, lease decisions, or other housing screening
• Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing and eligibility
• Licensing, permits, or eligibility for a government benefit or program
• Any other decision regulated by the FCRA

Outside Websites and Services

Links may lead to release records, sheriff and jail pages, Kentucky corrections systems, courts, legal-aid resources, federal portals, advertising partners, and independent search tools. A link does not endorse the destination. Hancock County Released Inmates does not control an outside site's content, privacy practices, data handling, security, availability, or results. Visitors should read the destination's own terms and privacy notice.

Service Provided As Is

The site and all content are supplied on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest degree allowed by law, no express or implied warranty is made that:

• Content is accurate, complete, or current
• Access will always be available or uninterrupted
• The service will have no errors, bugs, or security weaknesses
• A partner search will find every relevant record or result

Custody status and public records can change quickly. A name missing from the Breckinridge current roster is not official proof of release, and nothing published here is an official statement by Hancock County, a sheriff, a court, KDOC, or another public agency. Verify facts with the office that created the record.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hancock County Released Inmates, its owners, operators, and content or service partners will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or other damages arising from access to, inability to access, reliance on, or use of the site or any linked service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

A visitor agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Hancock County Released Inmates, its owners, operators, and partners from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from that visitor's use of the service, violation of these terms, or infringement of another person's rights.

Ownership of Site Materials

Unless a different owner is identified, the text, layout, graphics, logos, and code used by Hancock County Released Inmates belong to the site or its content partners and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. They may not be copied, republished, distributed, altered, or used to create another service without prior written permission.

Revisions to These Terms

These Terms of Use may be changed at any time. A revised version takes effect when it is posted on this page. Continued use after publication of a revision means acceptance of the updated terms.

Suspension or Loss of Access

Access may be restricted, suspended, or ended at any time, for any lawful reason, and without advance notice. That authority includes action taken to protect the site, its visitors, its providers, or others from misuse or disruption.

Kentucky Law Controls

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute concerning the site or these terms must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Kentucky.

If One Term Is Invalid

If a court finds one provision invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected provision will be limited or adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable while preserving its intended purpose.
